Pre-roll quality - why do some burn so bad?

5 months agobought some pre-rolls that burned super uneven and harsh. is this normal or did i get bad ones?
how can you tell good pre-rolls from bad ones before buying?

pre-rolls are hit or miss. often packed too tight or with shake/trim. stick to brands with good rep like daily special or good supply
feel them before buying if possible. should have some give, not rock hard. also check the twist - should be neat not sloppy
